Documentation File
The documentation file isn't working properly. Each time I open it it tells me to re-type the address or something. I've opened it in Microsoft HTML help Executable and FireFox, nothing...

Whats the difference between Relative mode and Absolute mode? Also What is "Force" box under the Tasks do, and why is it not recommended? Think that's all my questions, thanks!

RE: Documentation File
Hi,

i have created a FAQ about the problem with the Help file, so please read it and see if the problem can be solved.

Now about the difference between absolute and relative modes:
Let's say you want to turn off your PC on 15.05.2010. You can do this by selecting absolute mode and picking up the correct date (here 15.05.2010) from the calendar.

But if you want to turn off your PC after 3 hours, it will make sense to select relative mode and set the hours to 3. Note that you can do this by selecting absolute mode too, but it will take two steps:
1. selecting the day
2. selecting the time
so as you see it realy depends on when you want to turn off your PC.

The "Force" checkbox:
when the System is going to shutdown/restart... it broadcasts the shutdown message to all applications so that they can save relevant data and exit normaly. In some cases, an application may not respond to the shutdown request and so the system will not shutdown (it will ask you if you want to end the application gracefully).
To overcome this situation you can thick the "Force" checkbox, but be aware that unresponding applications will be closed gracefully and so a data los may occure.

Feel free to ask more questions if any Smile

Alan
